Invest in Puławy
Invest in PuławyWe invite businessmen to invest in • chemical industry • tourism • building industry • other branches Puławy is a modern town of 51 thousand inhabitants, situated on the bank of the Vistula River, in the north-west part of the Lublin Voivodeship. The town is well-known thanks to the famous Czartoryski family. The family founded a very important intellectual and artistic centre here at the beginning of 19th century. The unique climate of today’s Puławy results from the combination of the ubiquitous historic tradition with innovation and dynamic development. A well-developed infrastructure, high living standard of the inhabitants, focus on intensive development and important scientific background of the town, all these factors create perfect conditions for business development. The town’s economic character is determined by the presence of the “Puławy” Nitrogen Plant – the largest Polish producer of nitrogen fertilizers, melamine and caprolactam. Additionally, there are more than 5 thousand companies functioning in Puławy. The local authorities constantly undertake actions on behalf of entrepreneurship development. This activity was awarded with the title of GOLDEN BUSINESS LOCATION in 2006. It is worth mentioning that in the investment attractiveness ranking of Polish towns, prepared and carried out in the last years by the Institute for Market Economics, Puławy was classified in the highest class A as the only town in the Lublin region. The town offers beneficial conditions for business development in tourist, chemical (infrastructure, services) and building industries. Puławy Production Park In 2003 the Puławy Production Park (PPP) was founded. The park’s area is 700 hectares large. It is designed mainly for industrial investments but different kinds of services could find there excellent conditions too. Additionally, in 2007 on a part of the park’s area (99 hectares) the sub-zone of the Starachowice Special Economic Zone (SSSE) was created. PPP’s assets: • European Union’s furthest east part of large production and logistic potential, situated close to receptive markets, • investment areas meet special requirements of the industry, especially of the chemical industry, areas belong to one owner and their legal status is clearly regulated, • wide range of raw materials, access to energy and specialized services, possibility of investment costs reduction, • relatively low costs of well-qualified human resources which is guaranty of high efficiency, • possibility to use industrial sewage treatment plant and modern dumping area, • convenient road and railway connections, especially in the direction of the east border; new bridge crossing being constructed (in the final phase), • scientific and technical background – five science-and-research institutes, • preferences connected with investments in the area of PPP and SSSE – tax exempts and allowances, • advisory assistance, support with the use of European Union’s structural funds, • developed network of banks and business related posts.
