Puławy - Golden Location for InvestmentPUŁAWY - GOLDEN LOCATION FOR INVESTMENT In 2006 Puławy for the third time obtained the title FAIR PLAY COMMUNITY - a Certified Investment Location which gives the town right to use the title GOLDEN LOCATION FOR INVESMENT. FAIR PLAY COMMUNITY is the community which undertakes actions aimed at investor attraction, which solves problems, keeps the promises it made and constantly improves its infrastructure. It is characterised by lawfulness and elevated ethical level of the employees, as well as promotes pro ecological investments and buildings adapted to the needs of the disabled people. The title helps in the propagation of the undertaken actions and supports efforts of the local authorities to locate new investments here. Puławy obtained the title FAIR PLAY COMMUNITY for the first time in 2004. In order to prolong the title for the following year the town had to undergo the contest procedure again - verify the previous actions and undertake new ones, according to the suggestions contained in the last year's report, prepared by the competition chapter. The culmination point was the audit, during which an independent expert examines among others the economic climate, conditions of economic activity running, as well as the investment offer and the economic promotion of the community. FAIR PLAY COMMUNITY contest is conducted in four categories: rural, municipal communes, towns and small towns. The commune which fulfills the contest's requirements for three years and will be developing and realizing the planned goals and investment entreprises obtains the right to use the title: Golden Business Location.
